Bobby Bowden has a Florida State Trooper escort at every game for security. It seems to be the same one all year long - a plum assignment for a highly senior trooper. Brent Musberger attributes the following quote to Coach Bowden’s current escort:

Coach, if you end up going to Idaho for a bowl game, you’re going alone!

It’s safe to say that even a loss tonight wouldn’t result in a trip to the Pocatello Au Gratin Bowl.
