I’m sticking with my predictions of a couple weeks ago: “AFC beats NFC, no matter who makes it.”

This will be a fantastic game, and although I think the Steelers will win, they’ll have to play their best game ever. I’m also rooting for the Steelers, mainly because a lot of my close friends are foam-at-the-mouth Steelers fans, but also because it would be nice to see Jerome Bettis go out winning it all in his hometown.

On the other hand, the Surreal Receptors in my brain tingle at the thought of the phrase “Superbowl XL Champions Seattle Seahawks.”

• This rendition of the national anthem was better than if Roseanne Barr had done it.
• I guess if you’ve never been to the Superbowl before, you get to have twenty team captains for the coin toss. What’s all this “turn your back” stuff?
