My great-grandmother was a dear, sweet Christian lady, who happened to be convinced that alcohol was of the Devil himself.  She was also convinced that I would grow up to be an alcoholic because my parents rubbed whiskey on my gums when I was teething.

Anyway, we happened to be talking about her over dinner at my parents' last weekend, and my mom smiled a little and said, "Well, I'm sure Grandma knows better now."  We all took a moment to enjoy the idea of Grandma arriving at the Pearly Gates and being welcomed with a glass of wine. ;)

I had a similar reaction when Rev. Falwell died. "Well, I'm sure he knows better now."</description>
