A Letter to Hon. Laurel Lee

Published on June 14, 2025

We didn’t attend any of today’s No Kings protests.

Instead, I’ve written this letter to my Congressional representative.

I hope she reads it. I hope she responds.

U.S. Representative Laurel Lee
2464 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515

Dear Representative Lee:

You have served as a lawyer, judge, Florida Secretary of State, and now as a member of Congress. At least four times, probably more, you have sworn an oath to support the Constitution of the United States of America, and at least twice, you have sworn to protect it.

And as a lawyer, former judge, and government official, you are already aware of the numerous efforts by this administration to subvert and weaken the U.S. Constitution. You do not need me to give you examples, and you do not need me to persuade you that this administration has deliberately sought to expand its own power at the expense of the legislative and judicial branches, and at the expense of the people it purports to serve.

As your constituent, I would like to know more about what you have done to support and protect our Constitution from the threat posed by this administration.

Because of the oath you took, I am confident you will be able to provide a long list of ways you have supported and protected our Constitution. I look forward to your response.

Yours truly,

Michael Alex Wasylik
