So it’s been a while. I thought I was going to publish on the regular.

Two things got in the way.

First, there was a pretty bad npm hack about six months ago. I wanted to wait until that blew over before updating, since npm is at the core of 11ty, which I’m using to publish the site.

And then I got distracted with other stuff.

The second reason is that with All This Going On I havent felt much like writing, especially in the digital garden style I had originally planned.

Thinking in public, posting half-formed thoughts about some of the darkest times in my lifetime, seemed pretty inappropriate esepcially since I have come to regret so many of the things I once wrote on the former version of this site.

Rather than post stupid shit half-baked, I chose not to post at all.

While I have lots of opinions, and I certainly have plans to do things about those opinions, posting those here doesn’t seem espceially helpful to anyone.

Yes, yes, silence favors the oppressor. I know. But thoughtfully choosing when, where, and how to speak out, and how to act, itself seems an act of resistance in an era where so much of what goes on in our public sphere is half-assed, poorly thought out, and completely off the cuff.
